If this is the first time you have applied for a position with the City of Des Moines you will need to create an account.
After your account has been established, you can proceed to the current job openings list. Click on the job title you are interested in and then click on the apply button found to the top right corner of the job description section.

Promotional opportunities are only open to current, regular, full-time civil service employees of the City of Des Moines.
Civil Service employees who are currently employed in the position and wish to transferor who previously held the position and wish to take a voluntary demotion should notify the Human Resources office of their interest prior to the application deadline.
