The City of Des Moines' cable channel is on the Mediacom in the basic tier of service on channel 7.1 and 7.2.  Des Moines Television Cable Channel 7.1 and 7.2, D-M-T-V is owned by the City of Des Moines government and operated by the Public Information Office. It is NOT a public access cable channel and is subject ONLY to the policies and guidelines established by the City.

The municipal cable channel facilities and programming operate under the jurisdiction of the Des Moines City Council. Responsibility for programming lies with the Public Information Office under the direction of the City Manager's Office. Day to day operation of the channel is under the direction of the Chief Communications Officer.
