  • Water Street between West Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and Market Street
  • Starting: 11/03/2014 07:00 AM 
  • Ending: 11/24/2014 05:00 PM
     
  • Water Street between West M.L. King Jr. Pkwy. and Market Street will be closed to traffic beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2014. This closure is necessary for sewer work and is expected to last approximately 3 weeks.

    Motorists are urged to use caution when driving in this area and obey all construction zone signing.

  • E Porter Avenue from Indianola Avenue to SE 24th Street
  • Starting: 10/22/2014 12:00 AM 
  • Ending: 12/01/2014 12:00 AM
     
  • E Porter Avenue from Indianola Avenue to SE 24th Street will be closed to traffic beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 for construction activities related to the Indianola Avenue Widening Phase 3 project. This closure will be in effect through December 1, 2014.

    Motorists are urged to use caution when driving in this area and obey all construction zone signing.

  • Indianola Ave. between Easter Lake Dr. and E Porter Ave. Reopened
  • Starting: 11/21/2014 03:00 PM
     
  • Indianola Avenue between Easter Lake Drive and E Porter Avenue was reopened to traffic this afternoon. The closure was necessary as part of the Indianola Avenue Widening Phase 3 project.

  • Robert D. Ray Drive north of Des Moines Street
  • Starting: 03/26/2013 07:00 AM
     
  • Robert D. Ray Drive north of Des Moines Street will be closed beginning at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 for reconstruction and expansion of the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden, formerly called the Botanical Center. Access from East 6th Street will no longer be allowed. Access to the Botanical Garden parking lot will remain via Robert D. Ray Drive from Grand Avenue on the south end of the Botanical Garden. Motorists are urged to use caution when driving in this area, obey all construction zone signing and expect delays.
