Complaint Process
As an impartial investigative agency, the commission determines through investigation, if a person was treated unfairly in violation of the City Code. This includes intake, filing, mediation, investigation, conciliation, and litigation.

Education and Training
The Des Moines Civil and Human Rights Commission provides training regarding discrimination law and issues in the areas of employment, housing, and public accommodation. Presentations are available for a wide variety of age groups.
