Overview

The City of Des Moines has begun selling its used computer equipment to the public. The prices for available equipment are listed below. Not all equipment may be available at any given time. Desktop PC's will include mouse and keyboard. All desktop and laptops for sale have Ubuntu 9.04 (a free version of Linux operating system) installed.

Desktop PC: $35

Laptops: $50

Monitors: $25-$35

Ink Jet Printers: Depends on model

All sales are final, as is, and without warranty / support.

How-to purchase

Purchases can be made at the Action Center located at the front desk of City Hall, 400 Robert D Ray Drive, Des Moines, IA 50309. Office hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
