Des Moines Parks and Recreation offers HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS’ SPRING SOFTBALL leagues for girls in grades 8-12 who are eligible to play for their high school teams in the summer (no exceptions).  ONLY team registration is allowed with two levels of play offered, varsity and junior varsity. High school rules apply with some modifications to allow maximum play such as free re-entry on all players.  Certified high school umpires are used.  Games will be played at the Greater Des Moines Softball Complex (4980 NE 46th Street), Savage Softball Complex (2601 Hubbell Avenue) and high school fields as needed.  Doubleheader games are played BOTH Saturdays and Sundays each week in April.  No games are played on Easter Sunday. 

Team registration opens in February and continues through the middle of March. There has always been excellent team turnout for this league and it will not interfere with the high school season.  This is a very good opportunity for your softball team to prepare for their high school season.

Team registration fee is $450.00. Make checks payable to Des Moines Parks and Recreation.  Print and complete the application from the appropriate link below and submit it along with the entry fee to Parks and Recreation Administrative Offices, 3226 University Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50311 to be received by the entry deadline.
