Des Moines Parks and Recreation offers COED PEE WEE BASKETBALL with registration in December and games beginning in January. Two age divisions are offered at both Four Mile Community Center, 3711 Easton Boulevard, and Pioneer-Columbus Community Center, 2100 SE 5th Street; 3 & 4 year olds play on Tuesdays and 5 & 6 year olds play on Thursdays. Game times alternate between 6:00 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.; 7:30 p.m. game times will only be used if team numbers make it necessary.
This program introduces children to team sports, teammates and game situations while learning the basics of basketball in a fun atmosphere. Each team has a parent coach and will play against a different team one night per week for six weeks. All equipment, including a personal team shirt, will be provided. This is a fantastic way for your child to have other children enter their world.
Entry fee is $40.00 per child and includes a personal team shirt. Make checks payable to Des Moines Parks and Recreation. Print and complete the application from the appropriate link below and submit it along with the entry fee to Parks and Recreation Administrative Offices, 3226 University Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50311, to be received by the entry deadline.
