Patrons must sign in when entering the facility. Once each year patrons must fill out a Participant Information Form. The Pioneer Columbus community center is not responsible for any lost or stolen items including money in vending machines.

Activities and Programs for All Ages
Youth, adult and senior offerings are for all ages unless otherwise specified. If you do not find a list of activities or programs below the headings there are no offerings for the group at this time.
Indoor Wiffleball

This is an eight week Indoor Wiffleball league. Teams will play a doubleheader each week. Both competitive and recreation leagues are available with skill levels of all kinds welcome. Participants may register as a team or individual (to be placed on a team).
Starting January 9 - Imagination Playschool

Fees: $1.50 per child

Calling all parents, grandparents, and anyone that knows a preschooler that needs some playtime! Explore the world of physical fitness, skill learning and social development indoors. Our "Imagination Playschool" will give your child lessons in life skills at an early age. Together you and your toddler will benefit by developing and practicing the following skills: Social interaction, coordination, balance, rhythm, imagination, basic motor control and hands on learning. Parents play alongside for comfort and support in a fun and innovative atmosphere. Your little one will have the opportunity to interact with other participants their own age too. "Imagination Playschool" provides a strong foundation for your child's future in a fun, safe environment. Equipment includes: playhouse with slide, castle, tumbling mats, over-sized foam shapes, tricycles, cars, teeter totter, jeeps, play kitchen, and more appropriate sized fun equipment for them to play on or with.

Senior Activities and Programs
Polk County Congregate Meals

Seniors enjoy bingo, billiards, cards and crafts, as well as a nutritious lunch served at 11:30 a.m. by Polk County Congregate Meals Coordinator, Ray Ann Scione. Please call Ray @ 288-3734 between 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. weekdays to make meal reservations at least 24 hours in advance.
A transportation application is available for those who need transportation to and from the meal site. The form can be completed on-site or over the phone. Group transportation is done on a route and timing varies by site.
Polk County Congregate Meals also provides educational speakers and healthcare services like blood pressure checks and foot care clinics.
Holiday parties, great entertainment and friendly people are here for enjoyment.
