Des Moines Parks and Recreation offers YOUTH BASKETBALL 
leagues that register from mid-September through mid-October each year.  Separate leagues are available for boys and girls with each offering divisions for 1st / 2nd grade, 3rd / 4th grade and 5th / 6th grade.

 

Leagues play either Saturday or Sunday beginning in mid-November and ending with league tournament play in March.  All games are played at either Four Mile Community Center, 3711 Easton Boulevard or Pioneer-Columbus Community Center, 2100 SE 5th Street; both gyms have excellent gym floors that have been refinished.  

 

Team entry fee is $475.00 and allows for a team roster of approximately ten players. Individual entry fee is $65.00 per child with draft teams formed from these entries.  Entry fee provides a game shirt for each player, twelve-game schedule, end of season tournament, registered referees and game scorekeepers.

 

Make checks payable to Des Moines Parks and Recreation.  Print and complete the application from the appropriate link below and submit it along with the entry fee to Parks and Recreation Administrative Offices, 3226 University Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50311, to be received by the entry deadline.
