    Des Moines Parks and Recreation and Des Moines Public Schools are partnering to offer youth basketball! Open to grades 1-7. League play begins in mid-November and ends with tournament play in February. Registration has been extended until October 9!

    The Superhero 5K and Kids Fun Run will definitely bring out your inner superhero! Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite action hero or princess costume. Finishers receive a custom superhero medal. The Iowa League of Heroes will make a special appearance, so make sure to join us at the Hub Spot.

  • Cemetery Decoration Removal Begins October 1

    The removal of cemetery decorations that have been placed on gravesites in municipal cemeteries will begin on October 1. Citizens who have decorated gravesites with materials they would like to keep must remove them no later than Friday, September 30.
