    We are teaming up with the Iowa Department of Natural Resource and Fellowship Baptist Church to host Bald Eagle Day on the SE 6th Street Bridge. Activities include viewing eagles using the SE 6th Street Bridge and viewing a replica nest, presentations from local experts inside the church.

    Enjoy healthy recreation and get a 'kick' from revisiting a long time favorite game from your past in our Adult Kickball League. This adult coed league begins play in May. Coed teams field ten players ages 18 and over and play a 7-game schedule, one game a week.

  • Learn About Nature After School

    It's back! Sign up for the “After School Enrichment Series,” four-part nature program for kids grades K-3 at the Greenwood Park Jay Spence Shelter (80 S.W. 45th Street). The group will meet on Thursdays from 3:45-4:45 p.m. for four weeks starting on February 18, featuring a different topic each week. The cost is $20 per child for the series.

    Throw on your green and get ready for the 2nd Annual Blarney Blast Tournament! This double elimination softball tournament will be held the weekend of March 12th and 13th at the Greater Des Moines Softball Complex, and it will cost each team $105 to participate. This course is approximately 30-hours and will help you teach skills that may save a life, gain terrific work experience as an aquatics professional and earn money while you help people learn valuable skills.
