Register now for the Summer Des Moines Bags League! The Des Moines bean bag league will be played at the Hub Spot (210 Water St). The Hub Spot has a top-notch patio area serving concessions and adult beverages. Teams of two adults (18+) compete on Wednesday nights for six weeks plus a tournament. Duos race to a score of 21 and play a set of five games. League play begins June 4. Match times range from 5:30-8 p.m. and will be determined after all of the teams have been finalized. Cost is $35 per team.

Schedule of Events11:30 - 1:30 Kick-Off Bash/Team Rally (Capital Square)Gather your team for food, music, educational team activities and the team introductions. Team will have commute time between 1:00-1:30 to get to their assigned sites. In honor of this the theme is Free The Trees. Our projects are important for enhancing or improving the health of our woodlands, wildlife habitat, recreational opportunities and beautifying the Metro.Show Your CommitmentReady to sign up? The Metro Area is divided into more than 60 volunteer locations. We need the help of 1200 volunteers and hope you'll be one of them. Volunteers must register as a team with a captain by March 28th at noon. Teams will then be assigned to locations. Thanks to our sponsors, each location will have the supplies onsite to complete your project. Captains will receive location assignments at the captain's meeting on Thursday, April 17th. To thank you for your volunteer time you will receive a free Big City Burgers & Greens lunch at our Kick Off Bash at Capital Square on April 25th.
