OWNER-OCCUPIED
REHABILITATION PROGRAM
| The NCS Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program promotes the improvement of owner-occupied properties in Des Moines. The program provides grants, loans, and forgivable loans to eligible property owners, non-profit organizations, and developers. The program is designed to respond to deferred maintenance problems that have created an emergency situation, lead paint remediation for families with children under the age of 6 that have been referred by the Polk County Health Department, or the acquisition and rehabilitation of vacant, single-family homes to be resold to an eligible homebuyer.
