Steering
Committee
The
Zoning Ordinance Update Steering Committee
is appointed by the City Council.
The
Steering Committee is charged with establishing
the overall process for the preparation
and review of the new zoning ordinance.
The Steering Committee reviews the comments
and revisions to the working draft of
the new zoning ordinance as recommended
by the Regulation and Ordinance (R&O)
Committee and establishes the drafts of
the new zoning ordinance that are forwarded
to the Plan
and Zoning Commission and City
Council for public hearing.
The
Zoning Ordinance Update Steering Committee
generally meets the fourth Tuesday of
each month from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM in
the St. Etienne Conference Room of the
Armory Building, 602 Robert D. Ray Drive
(formerly E. First Street).
Notices
of the Steering Committee meetings are
posted on the City Clerk’s bulletin
board on the 2nd floor of the City Hall.
Steering
Committee meetings are open to the public
and there is a 10-minute public comment
period during each meeting. In addition,
public comments may be submitted via this
website, mail and at public hearings.
