The Maintenance division of the Des Moines Municipal Housing Agency (DMMHA) handles everything from routine service calls to vacant unit turnaround to preventative maintenance. Routine service is provided during business hours Monday through Friday. Emergencies are handled 24 hours per day.

The Maintenance division handles approximately 5,000 work orders every year. Maintenance personnel are located at Royal View Manor, and a custodial worker is assigned to keep the common areas clean and in good repair in the elderly apartment buildings: East View Manor, South View Manor, Highland Park Plaza, and Oak Park Plaza.

The Maintenance division also provides assistance in the 5(h) Affordable Homeownership program by completing repairs to units scheduled for sale and making additional property improvements in order to enhance the desirability of these units to eligible purchasers.
