Public Information Office

The Public Information Office (PIO) is a division of the City Manager's Office. It is managed by the Chief Communications Officer. The Public Information Office functions as the central resource for all internal and external communications for the City of Des Moines. Media Relations, City Cable Channel, DMTV- 7, printed materials, and press releases are all coordinated through this office.
