Learn to Swim Program
(Minimum age: 5 years)
The City of Des Moines Park and Recreation Department will be conducting swimming lessons at Ashworth and Birdland Pools, and Nahas, Northwest and Teachout Aquatic Centers. Children must be five years of age to enroll.
Schedule for Swimming Lesson Program Swimming lessons are two weeks per session, Monday through Thursday, beginning in June. Each lesson lasts 35 minutes. Watch this website for the 2010 schedule.
Fee: $30.00 - scholarships are available. Contact the City of Des Moines Community Service office near you to apply for a Park and Recreation Scholarship Card. Scholarship cards will allow 50% reduction in fees.
