The American Discovery Trail

The American Discovery Trail (ADT) is a proposed continuous pathway for hikers, bicyclists, horseback riders, and cross-country skiers that begins in Cape Henlopen State Park, Delaware and ends in Point Reyes National Seashore, California. It will link small Towns and city greenways, high plains and deep canyon, mountains and deserts along a route that stretches from the Atlantic to the Pacific

The American Discovery Tail will lead to 14 national parks and 16 national forests. It will visit more than 10,000 sites of historic, culture and national significance on its 6,300 mile route through 15 states. Central Iowa is proud to be a provider on one small segment of this exiting national trail.
