Objective:  
To systematically clean existing sewers to maximize capacity and flow and through storm sewer construction to reduce the backlog and overall cost of construction of the storm drainage infrastructure. 

The Public Works Department maintains a fleet of equipment and required staff to provide routine and specialized cleaning of the City's 800 miles of sanitary sewers and 400 miles of storm sewers.  The timely cleaning of the City's sewers reduces the potential for blockages and subsequent damage to private and public property.  

The Public Works Department utilizes existing personnel and equipment  to perform in-house construction of mid-range storm water related projects.
