THE
ENTERPRISE COMMUNITY STEERING
COMMITTEE
A
Des Moines City Council
appointed committee, known
as the Enterprise Community
Steering Committee (ECSC),
is responsible for ensuring
that the four pillar principles
of the EC program. The ECSC
is also responsible for
ensuring that the City’s
EC strategic plan is embodied
in all programs, plans,
contracts or grants it approves
and recommends to the City
Council for final approval.
The
Des Moines EC Steering
Committee is comprised
of 15 members, including
five neighborhood association
(NHA) representatives,
three non-profit agency
representatives, two private,
for-profit business representatives,
one US Attorney’s Office
Weed & Seed representative,
and four EC Environment
Work Group chairs (one
from each of the four
work groups).
