Zoning Code Update Steering Committee

The Zoning Ordinance Update Steering Committee is appointed by the City Council.

The Steering Committee is charged with establishing the overall process for the preparation and review of the new zoning ordinance. The Steering Committee reviews the comments and revisions to the working draft of the new zoning ordinance as recommended by the Regulation and Ordinance (R&O) Committee and establishes the drafts of the new zoning ordinance that are forwarded to the Plan and Zoning Commission and City Council for public hearing.

The Zoning Ordinance Update Steering Committee generally meets the fourth Tuesday of each month from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM in the St. Etienne Conference Room of the Armory Building, 602 Robert D Ray Drive (formerly E. First Street).

Notices of the Steering Committee meetings are posted on the City Clerk’s bulletin board on the 2nd floor of the City Hall.

Steering Committee meetings are open to the public and there is a 10-minute public comment period during each meeting. In addition, public comments may be submitted via this website, mail and at public hearings.
