    Our team will be holding two job fairs and recruiting for several positions. Join us Wednesday March 1 from 2 p.m. -7 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Park or Pioneer Columbus Community Center on Wednesday, March 8 from 2 p.m. - 7 p.m. Applications will be accepted onsite. Refreshments will be served.

    If you are 16 years old and a proficient swimmer, become an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. This course will help you teach skills that may save a life, gain terrific work experience as an aquatics professional and earn money while you help people learn valuable skills. Cost is $175 per person.

    Register today to become lifeguard certified! Participants will be trained with the knowledge and skills to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. Must have the ability to swim 300 yards.   • Four Weeks of Fun!

    This four part series for kids in grades K-3, will be held Thursdays from 3:45 - 4:45 p.m. at the Jay Spence Shelter House. Each week will feature a different activity: Backyard adventures, Tracks and Scat, Mammals, and Squirrels! Cost to register for the four weeks is $20 per child.

  • Cemetery Decoration Removal Begins March 1

    The removal of cemetery decorations that have been placed on gravesites in municipal cemeteries will begin on March 1. Citizens who have decorated gravesites with materials they would like to keep must remove them no later than Tuesday, February 28.
