  • Snowshoe By Moonlight

    Take a walk with us through the park on a set of snowshoes and enjoy Grandview Park on a full moon winter evening. This program will meet at the enclosed shelter January 31 at 5:30pm. Dress for the weather. Registration is $5 and includes snowshoe rental and hot chocolate. All ages are welcome.

  • Learn More About Our National Bird

    We are teaming up with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and Fellowship Baptist Church (1503 SE 6th Street) to host Bald Eagle Day Saturday, February 10 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. View eagles and a replica nest on the SE 6th Street Bridge. Step inside the church to see an eagle up close and hear presentations from local experts. This event is free, no registration required.

  • Get Your Green Gear Ready!

    The 3rd Annual Blarney Blast mixes a little bit of Ireland with a spring tournament. Games will be played mid March at the Greater Des Moines Softball Complex. Participation fee is $105.00 per team. Registration opens January 1st and continues through March 1st.
