2009 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program
REQUEST FOR PUBLIC COMMENT
The City of Des Moines Police Department was advised of their eligibility to apply for a 2009 Department of Justice (DOJ) / Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) / Justice Assistance Grant (JAG).
The Des Moines Police Department anticipates this new funding to be directed towards the design of and standardization of electronic police report forms and the implementation of an automated field reporting system. Funding will also be used for the purchase of cameras to be used to monitor and deter graffiti and other criminal activity in parks, cemeteries, schools and public areas.
