Vehicle Auction Rules and Conditions
Auction Rules of Conduct
- Bidders are required to be at least 18 years old and possess
a valid driver's license (minors are not permitted in the sale area).
- Cash only will be accepted, unless prior arrangements are made with the Impound Coordinator.
- Buyers will be issued an abandoned vehicle sales receipt.
This will allow the purchaser to obtain a title at the local County
Treasurer upon completion of a application for title.
- Bidders are allowed to view the vehicles 1hour prior to the beginning of the auction.
- Vehicles purchased, must be removed from the premises by 1200pm the following Saturday.
- All vehicles are sold in an "as is" condition. No guarantees are implied, or offered, by the City of Des Moines, or by persons or companies in contract with the Des Moines Police Department.
- Auction starts promptly at 1:00pm. Bid numbers are issued only until 1:15pm.
