Patrol Support Unit Logistics
The Patrol Support Unit provides support directly to the Patrol Services Bureau through the Bureau Commander. The support staff provides information on daily activities, intelligence information and reports on the weekly, monthly and yearly finances for the Bureau.
Officers in the Patrol Support Unit assist with the research and testing of new equipment. In this process, the staff explores the cost of new equipment, examines the possibility of being able to budget for the item and follows-up with training for officers on the use of the new equipment.
The Patrol Support Unit assists in the staffing and updating of personnel assignments for the various Sections and Units within the Patrol Services Bureau.
Also included in the duties of the Patrol Support Unit is the Patrol Fleet Management.
The Patrol Support Unit is supervised by a Sergeant.
