Hauled
(Non-Hazardous) Wastes
- Introduction
- Des
Moines Metro WRF is now accepting hauled
(trucked) non-hazardous wastes such as
those from domestic septic tanks, portable
toilets, restaurant grease traps, sand
pits, vehicle maintenance oil & grease
traps, animal confinement wastes, and
industrial wastes that are compatible
with conventional wastewater treatment.
This page contains an overview of Des
Moines Metro WRF’s Rules and Regulations
regarding disposal and instructions for
applying to discharge waste at the WRF.
- Hours
of Operation
- The
Des Moines Metro WRF accepts wastes seven
(7) days per week, twenty-four (24) hours
per day. Deliveries outside the hours
of 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday
must be scheduled in advance.
- Discharge
Location
- Wastes
will be accepted at the Wastewater Reclamation
Facility located at SE 30th
and Vandalia Road, South of the State
Fair Grounds and across the street from
Cargill.

a letter requesting permission to discharge
waste and a completed application form
