Des Moines Music Commission

• Description

  Commission is an advisory board for promoting the development of live music performances, the music industry and musicians within the city, and providing an opportunity for input from the live music industry, musicians, and the public for ideas in support of live music.

• Mission

  Initial terms for seats 1-4 were 3 year terms. Seats 5-7 were 2-year terms. On February 11, 2011 an error was discovered on term lengths, and all dates were updated and corrected.

• General Requirements

  Seven members: four must be music-related, two must be under age 30 and music-related when appointed, one with no special criteria.
