Park and Recreation Board

• Description

  Advises City Council and oversees planning and administration of city parks, cemeteries, recreation centers, and various programs.

• General Requirements

  Fifteen members: one of whom shall be a member of the Des Moines Board of Education, recommended by School Board and confirmed by City Council; each Council Member may recommend two candidates. No more than four members terms may expire each year.
