Synopsis —

 

Since 1967, St. Joseph’s Church has leased the parking lot on the northwest corner of 33rd Street and Easton Boulevard.  A new five-year lease has been prepared to continue leasing the property to St. Joseph’s Church.  Leasing the property to the church not only provides additional parking for church activities, but the church is responsible for a portion of the maintenance of the property.

 

 

Fiscal Impact —

 

The lease rate for the five-year term is $350 per year.

Background —

 

In 1967, St. Joseph’s Church began leasing the parking lot on the northwest corner of 33rd Street and Easton Boulevard to provide additional parking for church activities.  Since that time, additional leases have been executed to continue the relationship.  St. Joseph’s Church is currently a holdover tenant under the most recent lease agreement, which was executed on September 14, 1998, under Roll Call No. 98-2868.  Under that agreement, the lease rate was $300 per year.
