AGENDA HEADING:

 

Resolution Ordering Construction of the following: 2006 Sanitary Sewer Repair Program, Contract 2 -

Receiving of Bids, (4-25-06), and Setting Date of Hearing, (5-8-06). (Construction Estimate - $120,000).

 

 

SYNOPSIS:

 

Recommend to proceed with ordering construction (receiving bids and holding public hearing) for the following improvement:  2006 Sanitary Sewer Repair Program, Contract 2.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

 

Amount:  $120,000 Engineer's Estimate

 

Funding Source:  2006-2007 CIP, Page Sanitary Sewer Improvements-5, City-wide Sanitary Sewers, SAE054, Sanitary Sewer Funds.

 

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

 

The Engineering Department has prepared plans, specifications, form of contract documents, and Jurisdictional Engineer’s (City Engineer, Jeb Brewer) estimate for the construction of the following improvement:

 

2006 Sanitary Sewer Repair Program - Contract 2, 07-2006-009.

 

This improvement includes replacing sections of sanitary sewer, street patching and restoration; all in accordance with the contract documents, including Plan File Nos. 462-31/34 at 37 Tonawanda Drive and 8th Street at Euclid Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa

 

The Jurisdictional Engineer has submitted plans, specifications, form of contract documents, and engineer's estimate of construction cost.  The estimated construction cost for this improvement is $120,000. The proposed plans, specifications, and form of contract documents are available for public inspection in the City Engineer's Office.
