Resolution Ordering Construction of the following: Parking Facility Pedestrian Wayfinding Signs – Receiving of Bids, (4-18-06), and Setting Date of Hearing, (5-8-06). (Construction Estimate - $80,310).  

 

 

SYNOPSIS:

 

Recommend to proceed with ordering construction (receiving bids and holding public hearing) for the following improvement: Parking Facility Pedestrian Wayfinding Signs.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

 

The Engineering Department has prepared plans, specifications, form of contract documents, and Jurisdictional Engineer’s (City Engineer, Jeb Brewer) estimate for the construction of the following improvement:

 

Parking Facility Pedestrian Wayfinding Signs, 04-2006-006

 

This improvement includes installation of wayfinding signs throughout the downtown area to guide pedestrians to attractions and parking facilities located in downtown Des Moines generally bounded by M.L. King Jr. Parkway to I-235 and Pennsylvania Avenue to 15th Street, all in accordance with the contract documents including Plan File Nos. 460-115/119, 

 

The Jurisdictional Engineer has submitted plans, specifications, form of contract documents, and engineer's estimate of construction cost.  The estimated construction cost for this improvement is $80,310. The proposed plans, specifications, and form of contract documents are available for public inspection in the City Engineer's Office.
