AGENDA HEADING:

 

Resolution to establish Fair Market Value and authorize acquisition of property located at 2217 Forest Avenue for the Forest Avenue Urban Renewal Project by gift or voluntary purchase.

 

 

SYNOPSIS:

 

Recommend approval of Fair Market Value and authorization to acquire property interests.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

 

Amount:  $70,000

 

Funding Source:  2006-07 Operating Budget:  Community Development Department – Special Revenue Funds – Forest Avenue Redevelopment, CDBG2004034, Page 312.

 

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 

 

James J. Heger is the property owner of 2217 Forest Avenue and has volunteered to sell his property to the City as part of the Forest Avenue Urban Renewal Project.  This action establishes fair market value and authorizes voluntary acquisition of the property.  The fair market value listed above is based on an independent appraisal and has been reviewed by the City’s Real Estate Division Appraiser.
