INFORMATION:
On January 9, 2006, the City Council approved a new annual maintenance
agreement with Intergraph Corporation, PO Box 6695, Huntsville, Alabama, 35824,
Ben Eazzette, Chief Operations Officer. This maintenance contract was
negotiated to provide the City’s new Computer Aided Dispatch and Records
Management Software Systems with repair and upgrade support. This annual
agreement will expire soon and needs to be renewed. The renewal agreement will
include the newly installed mobile data software, which did not exist in the
initial contract. The total amount of the agreement will be $132,125. The funding
for this agreement will be expended from two funding sources. The majority of
the cost will be funded from the E911 Surcharge Fund, which will amount to
$102,888. The balance of the expense of $29,237 will be funded out of the
Police General Operating Budget under Communications.
The renewal agreement will be for another annual term. It is
anticipated this maintenance agreement will be an ongoing contract with the
City for an extended period of time.
