AGENDA HEADING:

Approval of sidewalk vacation and lease to Amici Expresso for a sidewalk café serving alcohol located at 206 6^th Avenue.

SYNOPSIS:

Recommend approval of vacating and leasing a portion of the sidewalk located at 206 6^th Ave. to Amici Expresso to allow for a sidewalk café.

In order to have a sidewalk café serving alcohol on a portion of a public sidewalk, the sidewalk must be vacated, leased to the proprietor, and certain specific requirements for screening, separation, and the allowance for the rest of the sidewalk to provide clear passage must be met. In addition, insurance must be provided by the owner and the amounts approved by the City Staff. At this time staff has reviewed the application and found it in order and meets the all requirements specified in the ordinance.
