SYNOPSIS:
Recommend approval of the 2008 Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau
Grant. This grant is a traffic
enforcement grant that the Des Moines Police Department has received since
1988.

ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION:
The grant provides $63,500 for the Police Department to fund the
following: $62,000 to conduct 1400 hours
of directed overtime enforcement and $1,500 for officer training. The grant period is from October 01, 2007
through September 30, 2008.
