ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
On October 8, 2007, by Roll Call No. 07-1936, the City Council adopted a
recommendation from the City Plan and Zoning Commission to vacate and convey
portions of East Walnut Street and East 30th Court adjoining the
Iowa State Fairgrounds, subject to reservation of an easement for all existing
utilities now in place with right-of-entry for servicing same, until relocated
at buyer’s expense, and provision of a hammerhead turnaround at the east
terminus of the remaining portion of East Walnut Street.
The property to be conveyed consists of approximately 17,790 square
feet. The buyer will incorporate the
street rights-of-way with the Iowa State Fairgrounds property for construction
of an off-street parking lot. A
