AGENDA HEADING:

 

Hearing for conveyance of a gas pipeline easement across City-owned property located south of Easton Boulevard and west of East 38th Street to MidAmerican Energy Company for $500.

 

 

SYNOPSIS:

 

Approval of conveyance of a gas pipeline easement to MidAmerican Energy Company, (Anne M. King, Right-of-Way Services, P.O. Box 657, Des Moines, Iowa, 50303-9970), for $500.  Iowa law requires this action, prior to making a final determination on the proposed sale by resolution.  There is no current or anticipated public need for this property.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

 

Amount:  $500 (Revenue)

 

Funding Source:  2007-08 Operating Budget, Page 259, Property Maintenance, SP767

 

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

 

MidAmerican Energy Company requires a gas pipeline easement for existing gas pipeline located on City-owned property located south of Easton Boulevard and west of East 38th Street.  This easement consists of approximately 3080 square feet and runs parallel to Easton Boulevard. 

 

MidAmerican Energy Company has submitted an offer of $500 to purchase the above referenced gas pipeline easement, which is equal to the fair market value for the property interest to be conveyed.
