AGENDA HEADING:

 

Approving Final Plat for Haye’s Addition to Capitol Heights No. 2.

 

 

SYNOPSIS:

 

Recommend approval of the Final Plat for Haye’s Addition to Capitol Heights No. 2 located at 4353 NE Aurora Avenue in unincorporated Polk County; it is within the two mile jurisdiction for extraterritorial review by the City of Des Moines. The owners and developers of the property are Chris and Christine Hayes, 4353 NE Aurora Avenue, unincorporated Polk County.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:  NONE

 

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

 

The plat consists of two (2) single family residential lots on 1.11 acres and zoned Low Density Residential (Polk County Zoning Designation).   The existing property contains one existing single family home located on 0.35 acres.  The proposed subdivision would create a 0.76 acre lot for the placement of one single family home.  Both lots will have private sanitary sewage disposal systems in accordance with Polk County regulations for properties not connected to sanitary sewer.

Action:   Regarding request from Chris and Christie Hayes for approval of a preliminary subdivision plat “Hayes’ Addition to Capitol Heights Plat No. 2” to allow division of property into two lots for single-family residential use, for property at 4353 NE Aurora Avenue in unincorporated Polk County, (within the City’s two-mile extraterritorial jurisdiction for subdivision review), subject to conditions. Moved by Hensley to receive and file.  Motion Carried 7-0.
