AGENDA HEADING:
Approval of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with
the Des Moines Police Department and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office for the
Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Program (LETPP).
SYNOPSIS:
Recommend
approval of MOU between the Des Moines Police Department and the Polk County
Sheriff’s Office for the LETPP Grant.
The grant provides funding for the
FISCAL IMPACT:
Amount: Anticipated
annual amount of $68,335 to include salary, benefits and overtime for the Polk
County Sheriff’s employee. These costs
are reimbursed by the LETPP Grant.

The
Des Moines Police Department was selected as one of six lead agencies
throughout the State of

MOU for the FY2007 LETPP Grant covers the time period of December 12, 2007
through December 12, 2009.
