AGENDA
HEADING:
Ordering
construction of the following: E.
University Avenue/E. 30th Street Traffic Signal Interconnect Improvements -
Receiving bids, (6-16-09), and Setting date of hearing, (7-13-09). (Construction Estimate -
$469,000).
SYNOPSIS:
Recommend
the City Council proceed with construction of this improvement and set dates to
receive bids and hold a public hearing, as required by Iowa Code, utilizing the
method of financing referenced below. The
project provides for upgrading the existing traffic signal interconnect system
on
FISCAL

ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION:
The
Engineering Department has prepared plans, specifications, form of contract
documents, and City Engineer’s estimate for the construction of the E.
University Avenue/E. 30th Street Traffic Signal Interconnect Improvements,
04-2008-005. The improvements consist of
upgrading the existing traffic signal interconnect on E. University Avenue from
Hubbell Avenue to East of Williams Street and E. 30th Street from E. University
Avenue to Dean Avenue; all in accordance with the contract documents including
Plan File Nos.495-139/157, in the City of Des Moines, Iowa.
The
proposed plans, specifications, and form of contract
documents are available for public inspection in the City Engineer's Office.
