ORDINANCE NO. 13,512
AN ORDINANCE to amend the Municipal Code of Des Moines, 1991, adopted by Ordinance No. 11,651, passed April 15, 1991, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,051, passed June 20, 1994, by repealing paragraph (c) of Section 2-86 thereof and enacting a new paragraph (c) of Section 2-86, all relating to contracts exempt from bidding.

Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines,

Iowa:

Section 1. That the Municipal Code of Des Moines, 1991, adopted by Ordinance No. 11,651, passed April 15, 1991, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,051, passed June 20, 1994, be and is hereby amended by repealing paragraph (c) of Section 2-86 thereof and enacting a new paragraph (c) of Section 2-86, all relating to contracts exempt from bidding, as follows:

2-86. CONTRACTS EXEMPT FROM BIDDING.

----------------------------------------------------------- (c) The purchasing agent is also hereby expressly authorized to procure machinery, motor vehicles, materials, equipment, and supplies, and services pursuant to procedures established by chapter 18, Code of Iowa and rules and regulations promulgated thereunder, without conforming to the competitive bidding requirements of this division.

Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
