ORDINANCE NO. 13,526

AN ORDINANCE vacating a portion of the right-of-way in the 1900 block of Guthrie Avenue.

WHEREAS, all prior requirements of law pertaining to the vacation of public right-of-way have been fully observed; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable that the public right-of-way herein described be vacated; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:

Section 1. That the following described portion of the right-of-way in the 1900 block of Guthrie Avenue be and is hereby vacated:

A part of Lots 30 and 31, Central Terminal Park, an Official Plat, all now included in and forming a part of the City of Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, in Section 25, Township 79 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M., more particularly described as follows:

Commencing at the Southeast corner of said Lot 31, thence North 0(degrees) 24'(minutes) 52"(seconds) East, a distance of 25.00 feet along the East line of said Lot 31 to a point of beginning; thence South 8131'06" West, a distance of 168.95 feet, along the North line of Guthrie Avenue right-of-way; thence North 8958'21" West, a distance of 173.08 feet; thence North 024'01" East, a distance of 70.0 feet; thence South 8958'21" East, a distance of 340.0 feet, thence South 024'52" West, a distance of 45.0 feet to the point of beginning, all now included in and forming a part of the City of Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.

Sec. 2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause certified copies of this ordinance and proof of publication thereof together with proof of publication of the notice of the public hearing on this matter to be properly filed in the office of the Recorder of Polk County, Iowa.

Sec. 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
