AN ORDINANCE to amend the Municipal Code of Des Moines, 1991, adopted by Ordinance No. 11,651, passed April 15, 1991, as heretofore amended by repealing Sections 27-1209, 27-1273, 27-1432, 27-1793 and 27-2414 thereof and enacting new Sections 27-1209, 27-1273, 27-1432, 27-1793 and 27-2414, all relating to traffic regulations.

Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines,

Iowa:

Section 1. That the Municipal Code of Des Moines, 1991, adopted by Ordinance No. 11,651, passed April 15, 1991, and amended by Ordinance 13,407, passed June 6, 1994, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,169, passed April 3, 1995, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,241, passed September 5, 1995, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,256, passed November 6, 1995, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,301, passed February 5, 1996, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,420, passed January 27, 1997, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,474, passed May 5, 1997, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,487, passed June 2, 1997 be and is hereby amended by repealing Sections 27-1209, 27-1273, 27-1432, 27-1793 and 27-2414 thereof and enacting new Sections 27-1209, 27-1273, 27-1432, 27-1793 and 27-2414, all relating to traffic regulations, as follows:

27-1209. EAST SIXTEENTH STREET.

East Sixteenth Street, at Garfield Avenue - Stop.

East Sixteenth Street, at Walker Street - Stop.

27-1273. FIFTY-SIXTH STREET.

Loomis Avenue, on the north side, from Southwest Ninth Street to a point 50 feet west thereof, no parking any time.

Loomis Avenue, on the north side, from a point 50 feet west of Southwest Ninth Street to a point 240 feet west thereof, no parking, 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday.

Loomis Avenue, on the north side, from a point 240 feet west of Southwest Ninth Street to a point 105 feet west thereof is designated as handicapped parking and is subject to the same prohibition as is found in section 27-616(a) of this code.

Loomis Avenue, on the north side, from a point 345 feet west of Southwest Ninth Street to a point 140 feet east of Southwest Twelfth Street, no parking, 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday.
