AN ORDINANCE to amend the Municipal Code of Des Moines, 1991, adopted by Ordinance No. 11,651, passed April 15, 1991, and amended by Ordinance No. 11,953, passed March 15, 1993, and amended by Ordinance No. 12,071, passed December 20, 1993, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,143, passed January 23, 1995, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,283, passed December 18, 1995, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,321, passed April 1, 1996, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,454, passed April 21, 1997, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,570, passed January 19, 1998, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,583, passed March 16, 1998, by repealing Section 15-180 thereof and enacting a new Section 15-180, relating to fees for swimming pool rentals.

Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:

Section 1. That the Municipal Code of Des Moines, 1991, adopted by Ordinance No. 11,651, passed April 15, 1991, and amended by Ordinance No. 11,953, passed March 15, 1993, and amended by Ordinance No. 12,071, passed December 20, 1993, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,143, passed January 23, 1995, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,283, passed December 18, 1995, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,321, passed April 1, 1996, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,454, passed April 21, 1997, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,570, passed January 19, 1998, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,583, passed March 16, 1998, is hereby amended by repealing Section 15-180 thereof and enacting a new Section 15-180, relating to fees for swimming pool rentals, as follows:

Students (8-15 yrs)$ 2.00

Adults (16 yrs & over)$ 3.00

Good Pools

Admissions

Adults (16 yrs & over)$ 1.25

Season Swim Passes - Aquatic Centers, other pools and Gray's Lake

Family Pass$ 95.00

Individual Pass$ 40.00

Non-Resident Family Pass$130.00

Non-Resident Individual Pass$ 60.00

Group Home (1 leader - 8 persons)$ 85.00

Replacement Tags$ 1.25

Reduced Season Pass for Low Income Licensed

Daycare Providers and Youth Agencies$110.00 per 10 youth;

supervisors free

POOL RENTAL

Private Rental$75.00/hr plus $1.00 per person

after 50 persons.

Corporate Rental$300.00/hr plus $1.00 per person

after 100 persons.

Seasonal Agency Rental$2.00 per person per week plus

$10.00 per person per season for

non-residents.

Swim Meet Rentals $80.00 per day.

*All rentals are usually after hours, exceptions may be made.

**Park and Recreation Director has option to waive fee.

Birdland Marina Moorage Fees*

Seasonal:

Double Access, Long length$395.00

Double Access, Regular length$370.00

Single Access, Regular length$345.00

Monthly:

Single Access only$125.00

Weekend Rate

In after 12:00 noon on Friday,

out by 6:00 p.m. Sunday$ 30.00

*All Moorage Fees include tax.

**All rentals based on availability.

 

 

 

 

Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from

and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
