ORDINANCE NO. 13,717

AN ORDINANCE changing the name of "West Drive" to Fanny Pruce Drive".

WHEREAS, on April 26, 1999, by Roll Call No. 99-1242, the City Council adopted a recommendation from the City Plan and Zoning Commission for approval of a request from Beth El Jacob Synagogue to rename "West Drive" to "Fanny Pruce Drive"; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, as follows:

Section 1. That West Drive extending between 63rd Street and Cummins Parkway be and is hereby renamed Fanny Pruce Drive.

Sec. 2. That every reference to West Drive in the Des Moines Municipal Code shall be interpreted to refer to Fanny Pruce Drive.

Sec. 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.

Sec. 4. The only official plats affected by this ordinance are the following plats located within the City of Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa:

Brookline Heights, an Official Plat

Keith Merrill Place, an Official Plat

Sec. 5. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause certified copies of this ordinance and proof of publication thereof to be properly filed in with the Recorder, the Auditor, and the Assessor of Polk County, Iowa, in the manner provided by Iowa Code Section 254.26.
