AN ORDINANCE to amend the Municipal Code of Des Moines, 1991, adopted by Ordinance No. 11,651, passed April 15, 1991, and amended by Ordinance No. 11,663, passed May 20, 1991, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,705, passed May 3, 1999, by repealing Sections 27-257.01, 27-2108, 27-2253, 27-2254, 27-2475, 27-2793.02, 27-2794.01, 27-2836.02 thereof and enacting new Sections 27-257.01, 27-2108, 27-2253, 27-2254, 27-2475, 27-2793.02, 27-2794.01 and 27-2836.02, and adding and enacting a new Section 27-2118.01, relating to traffic regulation changes.

Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:

Section 1. That the Municipal Code of Des Moines, 1991, adopted by Ordinance No. 11,651, passed April 15, 1991, and amended by Ordinance No. 11,663, passed May 20, 1991, and amended by Ordinance No. 13,705, passed May 3, 1999, is hereby amended by repealing Sections 27-257.01, 27-2108, 27-2253, 27-2254, 27-2475, 27-2793.02, 27-2794.01, 27-2836.02 thereof and enacting new Sections 27-257.01, 27-2108, 27-2253, 27-2254, 27-2475, 27-2793.02, 27-2794.01 and 27-2836.02, and adding and enacting a new Section 27-2118.01, relating to traffic regulation changes, as follows:

27-257.01. PROHIBITED RIGHT TURN ON RED.

No person shall make a right turn with a vehicle after coming to a stop in obedience to a red signal until a green indication is shown at the following locations:

(1)At the intersection of Hickman Road, Merle Hay Road and Merklin Way, prohibiting right turns from eastbound Hickman Road to southbound Merle Hay Road or Merklin Way and from northbound Merle Hay Road to eastbound Hickman Road or southbound Merklin Way.

(2)At the intersection of Easton Boulevard, Avenue Frederick M. Hubbell and East Twenty-fifth Street, prohibiting right turns from eastbound Easton Boulevard to southbound East Twenty- fifth Street or westbound Avenue Frederick M. Hubbell.

(3)At the intersection of Mulberry Street and Fifth Avenue, prohibiting right turns from eastbound Mulberry Street to southbound Fifth Avenue.

(4)At the intersection of Court Avenue, Riverside Drive and First Street, prohibiting right turns from eastbound Court Avenue to southbound Riverside Drive or First Street and from northbound First Street to eastbound Court Avenue.

(5)At the intersection of Grand Avenue and Thirty-first Street, prohibiting right turns from northbound Thirty- first Street to eastbound Grand Avenue and southbound Thirty-first Street to westbound Grand Avenue.

(6)At the intersection of Grand Avenue and Fleur Drive, prohibiting right turns from eastbound Grand Avenue to southbound Fleur Drive.

(7)At the intersection of the Eighth Street Service Road west of the viaduct at Mulberry Street, prohibiting right turns from northbound Eighth Street Service Road to eastbound Mulberry Street.

(8)At the intersection of Eighth Street and Mulberry Street, prohibiting right turns from westbound Mulberry Street to northbound Eighth Street.

(9)At the intersection of Eighth Street and Mulberry Street, prohibiting right turns from northbound Eighth Street to eastbound Mulberry Street.

27-2108. DAVISSON ROAD--THIRTY-FOURTH STREET TO THIRTY-EIGHTH STREET.

Davisson Road, on the south side, from Thirty-eighth Street to a point 50 feet east thereof; no parking any time.

Davisson Road, on the north side, from Thirty-fourth Street to Thirty-eighth Street, no parking any time.

27-2118.01. DICKMAN ROAD--SOUTHWEST NINTH STREET TO EASTERLY DEAD END.

Dickman Road, on both sides, from Southwest Ninth Street east to the dead end (700 feet), no parking any time.

27-2253. GUTHRIE AVENUE--FIRST STREET TO EAST FOURTEENTH STREET.

Guthrie Avenue, on the south side, from First Street to a point 50 feet east of East Ninth Street, no parking any time.

Guthrie Avenue, on the north side, from North Union Street to a point 50 feet west thereof, no parking any time.

Guthrie Avenue, on the north side, from East Ninth Street to a point 50 feet west thereof, no parking any time.

Guthrie Avenue, on the north side, from East Ninth Street to East Fourteenth Street, no parking any time.

Guthrie Avenue, on the south side, from East Fourteenth Street to a point 220 feet west thereof, no parking any time.

27-2254. GUTHRIE AVENUE--EAST FOURTEENTH STREET TO EAST THIRTY-SECOND STREET.

Guthrie Avenue, on the south side, from East Fourteenth Street to a point 220 feet east thereof, no parking any time.

Guthrie Avenue, on the north side, from East Fourteenth Street to Glenbrook Drive, no parking any time.

Guthrie Avenue, on both sides, from Glenbrook Drive to East Twenty- seventh Street, no parking any time.

Guthrie Avenue, on the south side, from East Twenty-seventh Street to East Twenty-ninth Street, no parking any time.

Guthrie Avenue, on the north side, from a point 50 feet west of East Twenty- ninth Street to East Thirty-second Street, no parking any time.

27-2475. MULBERRY STREET--SEVENTH STREET TO EIGHTH STREET.

Mulberry Street, on the south side, from Seventh Street to a point 100 feet west thereof, no parking any time.

Mulberry Street, on the south side, from a point 100 feet west of Seventh Street to a point 120 feet west thereof, no parking 7:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Mulberry Street, on the south side, from a point 220 feet west of Seventh Street to Eighth Street, no parking any time.

Mulberry Street, on the north side, from Seventh Street to Eighth Street, no parking any time.

27-2793.02. SEVENTH STREET--LOCUST STREET TO GRAND AVENUE.

Seventh Street, on the west side, from Locust Street to a point 180 feet north thereof, two hour meters, 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

27-2836.02. MULBERRY STREET--SEVENTH AVENUE TO EIGHTH STREET. Mulberry Street, on the south side, from a point 100 feet west of Seventh Street to a point 120 feet west thereof, four hour meters, 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
