AN ORDINANCE to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 2A-5 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, 1991, by rezoning and changing the district classification of certain property located in the vicinity of the 7401 block of Indianola Avenue from the "R1-80" One Family Residential District and "A-1" Agricultural District classifications to a "PUD" Planned Unit Development District classification.

Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:

Section 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 2A-5 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 1991, be and the same is hereby amended by rezoning and changing the district classification of certain property located in the vicinity of the 7401 block of Indianola Avenue, more fully described as follows:

The Northwest 1/4 Quarter of the Southwest 1/4 Quarter of Section 36, Township 78 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M. in the City of Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa and more particularly described as follows:


Beginning at the West 1/4 corner of said Section 36, thence South 89*45' 09" East, 1314.48 feet along the North line of said Southwest 1/4 to a point; thence South 00* 02' 32" East, 1323.37 feet along the East line of said Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 to a point; thence North 89*42' 44" West, 1317.41 feet along the South line of said Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 to a point on the West line of said Section 36; thence North 00*05' 04" East, 1322.43 feet along said West line to the Point of Beginning, all now included in and forming a part of the City of Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa and containing 39.964 acres more or less.

Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the later of its passage and publication as provided by law.

Sec. 3. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause certified copies of this ordinance and proof of publication thereof to be properly filed in the office of the Recorder of Polk County, Iowa.
