ORDINANCE NO. 13,846

AN ORDINANCE to amend the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, adopted by Ordinance No. 13,827, passed June 5, 2000, by adding and enacting a new Section 78-35 thereof, relating to prohibited acts for peddlers.

Section 1. That the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, adopted by Ordinance No. 13,827, passed June 5, 2000, is hereby amended by adding and enacting a new Section 78-35 thereof, relating to prohibited acts for peddlers, as follows:

Sec. 78-35. Prohibited acts.

1. No peddler shall conduct peddling with any person situated in a motor vehicle upon any public street, alley, driveway access, or public way.
2. No peddler shall conduct peddling upon any part of the public right of way along a parade route on the day of any permitted parade.

Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
