ORDINANCE NO. 13,939

AN ORDINANCE to amend the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, adopted by Ordinance No. 13,827, passed June 5, 2000, by repealing Section 74-184 thereof and enacting new a Section 74-184, relating to fees at Blank Park Zoo .

Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:

Section 1. That the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, adopted by Ordinance No. 13,827, passed June 5, 2000, is hereby amended by repealing Section 74-184 thereof and enacting a new Section 74-184, relating to, fees at Blank Park Zoo, as follows:

Sec. 74-184. Zoo.

Fees for use of the city zoo shall be as follows:

(1) Admissions:

a. Children (under three years) . . . . Free

b. Children (threeto 11 years) . . . . $ 4.00

c. Adults (12 to 64 years) . . . . 5.50

d. Senior citizens (65 years and older) . . . . 4.50

(2) Group rate (20 or more):

a. Children (under two years) . . . . Free

b. Children (two to 11 years) . . . . 3.50

c. Adults (12 to 64 years) . . . . 5.00

d. Senior citizens (65 years and older) . . . . 4.25

 

(3) School groups (all ages):

a. Bus driver free, one free adult with each ten students . . . . 3.25

Each adult thereafter . . . . 5.00

b. Students of Ruby Van Meter, Smouse, and Mann Elementary Schools . . . . Free

(4) Educational programs:

a. Zoo camp . . . . 3.25

b. Junior Zoo Volunteer . . . . 2.00

c. Zoomobile program (living classroom):

1. First class of a school . . . . 55.00

d. Summer safari:
