ORDINANCE NO. 14,140

AN ORDINANCE to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 134-277 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, by rezoning and changing the district classification of certain property located in the vicinity of 6700 Chaffee Road from the "A-1" Agricultural District to the "PUD" Planned Unit Development District classification.

Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:

Section 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 134-277 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, be and the same is hereby amended by rezoning and changing the district classification of certain property located in the vicinity of 6700 Chaffee Road, more fully described as follows:

Commencing as a point of reference at the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter 1/4 of Section 33, Township 78 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M.; Thence North 00_ (Degrees) 37’ (Minutes) 02" (Seconds) West, 660.51 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence North 89_52’54" West, 160.94 feet; Thence South 78_11’31" West, 241.10 feet; thence North 89_52’54" West, 267.04 feet; thence North 00_02’18" East, 280.15 feet; thence North 89_55’43" West, 651.12 feet; thence North 00_13’12" East, 324.29 feet; thence South 89_58’48" East, 1,307.68 feet; thence South 00_37’02" East, 556.37 feet to the Point of Beginning, all now included in and forming a part of the City of Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa and containing 13.71 Acres more or less

from the "A-1" Agricultural District it automatically received upon its annexation into the City of Des Moines, to the "PUD" Planned Unit Development District classification.

Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the later of its passage and publication as provided by law.

Sec. 3. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause certified copies of this ordinance and proof of publication thereof to be properly filed in the office of the Recorder of Polk County, Iowa.
