ORDINANCE NO. 14,222
AN ORDINANCE to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 134-277 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, by rezoning and changing the district classification of certain property located in the vicinity of 1553 E. Walnut Street from the "R1-60" One-Family Low Density Residential District to the "R-2A" General Residential District classification.
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa:
Section 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, set forth in Section 134-277 of the Municipal Code of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, 2000, be and the same is hereby amended by rezoning and changing the district classification of certain property located in the vicinity of 1553 E. Walnut Street, more fully described as follows, from the "R1-60" One-Family Low Density Residential District to the "R-2A" General Residential District classification:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 6, Block 43, Stewarts Addition, an Official Plat; thence along the West line of said Lot 6 North 16°(degrees) 07' (minutes) 41" (seconds) West 149.86 feet; thence along the South right-of-way line of E. Walnut Street North 73°55'47" East 450.03 feet; thence along the West right-of-way line of E. 16th Street South 15°51'38" East 156.95 feet; thence South 73°55'47" West 50.00 feet; thence North 16°02'25" West 7.00 feet; thence South 73°55'47" West 49.78 feet; thence North 15°57'00" West 27.44 feet; thence South 73°55'47" West 19.90 feet; thence South 82°11'34" West 130.85 feet; thence South 15°47'14" East 3.57 feet; thence North 89°58'28" West 51.97 feet; thence South 15°47'48" East 7.13 feet; thence South 73°55'43" West 50.20 feet; thence North 15°58'05" West 5.00 feet; thence South 73°55'47" West 50.10 feet; thence South 16°07'18" East 69.07 feet; thence South 89°47'37" West 51.98 feet to the Point of Beginning, all now included in and forming a part of the City of Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa. By survey 55,063 square feet.
Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
Sec. 3. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause certified copies of the vicinity map, this ordinance and proof of publication of this ordinance to be properly filed in the office of the Recorder of Polk County, Iowa.
